Ahoy all BSCers;
If you are interested in sailboat racing, want to learn more about it or just need an excuse to get out on the water this fall and winter--I have the perfect solution for you: consider crewing on Water Phantom in the NYRA 2025 Winter Series*, Nov 1-Feb 7 plus the Commodore's Ball Regatta on Feb 21.
Due to job changes, boat purchases, etc. I am looking for "...a few good men and women...", to join the crew this year. I need crew with or without any racing experience--you will learn by doing--and I am more concerned with your commitment to learn than your racing skills. The latter can be learned but the former you must bring with you. FYI, most of my crew have been on the boat for several years and some have been on board for ~ 20 years but there is always room for…

The peak hurricane season is upon us. Do you have the proper equipment to anchor out in the Broad Creek? This genuine Bruce anchor is not the latest design or material like Rocna, Mantis, or Fortress, but it is well-built and HEAVY.
$100, contact Jeff Tsai at 919-704-1335 if interested.

Posting for a freind.
Allen has a Bonsun Chair for some lucky boat.
Contact Allen at 252-772-5969. He lives in the Fairfield Harbor. Going Up the Rig with the Help of a deck hand
A bosun’s chair is the most popular way to climb your sailboat’s mast, if you need to change a bulb in your masthead light, retrieve a lost halyard or perform any one of a number of rig maintenance tasks. Bosun’s chairs are comfortable and you can sit in them for a long time, so they make working on the mast easy.

Fairfield Harbor is updating their security system to RFID entrance scanners that will eliminate the old code entry boxes. The old Code box will be replaced with a new card scanner call box.

RFID card reader gate entry box has some new features.
1. Camera - Security can see you/ you can’t see them.
2. Large circle middle - Reader sensor- Hold our new RFID cards within 6” of center.
3. Call button - bottom calls to main gate guard house 24/7
NOTE I now understand that the Barkentine keypad code box will NOT be changed out to the RFID card until JUNE 16th. Use the BSC code to enter the Barkentine Dr gate.
