San Juan Fleet #8
The highly respected and national award wining SanJuan 21 Fleet was one of the founding fleets in the club. The fleet competes in several Blackbeard regattas throughout the year. Several boats travel around the country to compete in the national regattas. In fact our own club skippers have won the SanJuan 21 Easter Nationals and SanJuan 21 North American Championships multiple times.
We were honored to host the North American SanJuan Nationals here at Blackbeard this September 26-29. More details here.

2026 FRED LATHAM RESULTS We had 5 boats registered. We had 3 short double W/L races in light, shifty air (with some good puffs) in Upper Broad Creek, with the Weather mark near the Club docks. After 2 races we had a 3 way tie for 1st place... Final results after 3 races: 1st; Hans Lassen and Ken Urgeleit on Road Runner 2nd; Doug Longhini and Cliff Lennox on Kanga 3rd; Jeff Thomas and Gary Peterson on Duct Tape 4th; Mark Weinheimer and Blake Sohn on Deuces Wild 5th; Mike Bonner and John Peck on Bonaire
