4th of July 250th Celebration Extravaganza
The July 4th holiday this year was celebrated with a full course luncheon at the clubhouse, hosted by Sheldon and Jan Shikoluk (SV Puffin). Approximately 120 members attended the affair that served an assortment of horsd'oeuvres and a buffet style of Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Brats ,Pulled Pork and Ribs, chicken breasts and sides of Potato salad, Garden salad, Baked Beans and more! Bill Jarvis Celebration of Life Event
On March 28, Blackbeard Sailing Club had one of it's largest club events with over 150 people attending in person and 20+ on a ZOOM call. Zoom attendees included friends and family from the UK, Scotland and event Australia. Sad Passing of Bill Jarvis
We are saddened to inform you that our beloved Bill Jarvis passed away this morning after battling cancer. Bill will long be remembered for all the work he has done for North Carolina racing activities. He was Race & Regatta Chair for NYRA, FHYC, BSC & ETYSA many years. His wisdom and energy will be missed by all of us. A Celebration of Life is to be Saturday March 28 at 11:00 am at BSC, please keep Olwen in your thoughts and prayers.

New RFID card reader box is scheduled to be replacing the key pad code box on or about JUNE 16th. Until the keypad is still installed, use it as always.
NOTE: the new RFID card that were mailed to members WILL NOT WORK on this Key Pad box until the new RFID box is installed. The Fairfield Harbor POA is upgrading their key pad entry system to an RFID System at the Barkentine Dr. club access. The final change over to that system and removal of the code box will be on or about June 16 . Until then members will need to continue using the old code box. The new Barkentine gate RFID card reader box has been installed and now working
NOTE: You can now use the new RFID cards to enter at Barkentine EFFECTIVE as of Saturday morning June 14th the old gate code box at our Barkentine gate to enter into Fairfield Harbor has been removed. It was replaced with a Security Desk call box and RFID card reader. All members were mailed new entry cards (one card per family) to gain entrance into that gate. Barkentine Entry Gate now working
After several glitches and delays of the new card scanner box at Barkentine are finally working. Additionally, the call button to hail the Security Guard to get in is now working. If you have ordered additional cards or window stickers we are processing them as soon as possible and will mail them out shortly. Testing of the cards discovered that swiping from bottom up with in 1 inch to the scanner eye will quickly open the gate. NOTE: Emails were sent to alert a few BSC membe
