Fun Sails are open to anyone with a sailboat; no club affiliation required! These are casual sails with pursuit starts based on PHRF ratings to provide boat owners and crew the opportunity to practice their sailing and racing skills. Some people are not interested in serious competitive racing but come out for these sails regularly. We generally have anywhere from 5 to 15 boats. If you don't have a boat and wish to sail on someone else’s boat to gain experience, we also have a crew list.

 

We communicate every week via email providing a start time (between 1PM & 4PM depending on the daylight hours.) 

 

• We usually sail on Tuesdays, but we may choose another day of the week based on the weather forecast.

• We will sometimes announce weekend or holiday sails throughout the year, weather permitting, on days when they do not conflict with other scheduled sailing events.

• We will occasionally meet at BSC after a sail for a cookout to get to know one another and chat about our experiences on the water.
