PORTSMOUTH RACING

The Portsmouth Sailing group is our newest racing event platform. It is for our smaller boat sailors that want to get out on the water and compete.

The event was started and being headed up by members, Mark Hansen and Chris Beisner who both have racing boats. 

The Portsmouth Yardstick (PY) is a handicap system allows different classes of boats to compete against each other fairly by adjusting their finishing times based on their relative performance. Here is a link to more informative Wiki page for details.
