4th of July 250th Celebration Extravaganza

The July 4th holiday this year was celebrated with a full course luncheon at the clubhouse, hosted by Sheldon and Jan Shikoluk (SV Puffin). Approximately 120 members attended the affair that served an assortment of horsd'oeuvres and a buffet style of Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Brats ,Pulled Pork and Ribs, chicken breasts and sides of Potato salad, Garden salad, Baked Beans and more! A delicious array of desserts were provided by Connie Kern. Patriotic music was enjoyed by all and Vice Commodore, Blake Sohn made a 250th George Washington historical prayer invocation prior to the serving, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house!
A special thank you goes out to the members who helped decorate the clubhouse the night before and double thank you to the cooks and food prep members who worked the day of the event!!
A 50/50 lottery was held for the first time and 1 lucky member won $120 dollars for having the winning ticket, the balance went to the clubs general treasury. Hopefully more interest in the 50/50 can generate more prizes in coming events, stay tuned!
