Fairfield Harbor is updating their security system to RFID entrance scanners that will eliminate the old code entry boxes. The old Code box will be replaced with a new card scanner call box.
RFID card reader gate entry box has some new features.
1. Camera - Security can see you/ you can’t see them.
2. Large circle middle - Reader sensor- Hold our new RFID cards within 6” of center.
3. Call button - bottom calls to main gate guard house 24/7
My daughter Annsley and I have a 93 Beneteau First 35s5 sitting in A34. Name Cheese Dip.
This boat is still new to us. This week we reviewed our hurricane plan. We walked through the all the steps, including removing a gear and anchoring process. This is when we discovered that we don’t understand how to remove the main sail. We don’t understand how to move or where the gate is to remove slugs / cars from the mast. What appears to be the gate looks like it is riveted in place, but not sure.
I would gladly meet anyone at the boat who thinks they could possibly show me how this sail comes off.
The Blackbeard Sailing club member pitched in and hosted several Plein Are artists for the week long event in New Bern Farmers Market. Artist painted in New Bern, Oriental and Beaufort... AND even Fairfield area marinas and wetlands. Amazing work if you had a chance to see it. Even our own Gordon Osborne (Ensign Owner and Captain) Won second pace in the Open Painting Sunday event! Yay Gordon.
