Main sail removal. Sherwood and Annsley
My daughter Annsley and I have a 93 Beneteau First 35s5 sitting in A34. Name Cheese Dip.
This boat is still new to us. This week we reviewed our hurricane plan. We walked through the all the steps, including removing a gear and anchoring process. This is when we discovered that we don’t understand how to remove the main sail. We don’t understand how to move or where the gate is to remove slugs / cars from the mast. What appears to be the gate looks like it is riveted in place, but not sure.
I would gladly meet anyone at the boat who thinks they could possibly show me how this sail comes off.
